Nicholas Williams, known as Nick. A loving dad, grandad and friend to many who will be sadly missed. Nick passed away peacefully in his sleep on 25.01.2017 at his home in Leigh. Nick was a very well-liked character who had a lot of kindness within him. Nick leaves a legacy of five daughters, one son and many grandchildren. Nick always adored his family but none of the children was as special as his beloved cats…. (The ones he objected against getting in the first place!) He cared for his cats that seemed to grow in numbers as the years passed by.

A wake up call like no other!
Nick loved his music. Nick’s taste would range from Status quo through to Beyonce! Often Nick’s children would get a delightful wake up to Nick blaring his music having a dance in the kitchen as he would be making breakfast. One of the prominent tracks for Nick was the Nolan Sister in the mood for dancing!
In the mood for dancing!
Nick always tried to make those around him happy. He would always be dressed smartly and would complain at the younger generation for wearing “tracky pants and not even going to the gym!” Nick was a man set into his ways and enjoyed the simple things in life.
About Nick.
Nicholas Williams was a very well-loved character who always put others first. Nick would often be found in the local pub. Whilst in there he was known to “nip to the shop” to pick out chocolate and sweets for all the children who loved their visits whilst Nick was there!
Nick worked within the distribution industry and had created his own business from scratch which proved a real success. The family business still runs to this day run now, by son Mark. Nick has always been a positive person that even when challenges arise, he will look with an optimistic outlook and work hard to overcome. This is something Mark notes that he has always truly admired from his dad. A trait Mark tries to keep within.
Nick was a father to five. Later in life Nick became a grandad and found a new lease of life. Nick doted upon his grandchildren. He enjoyed days out, playing and spending time bonding. He was once seen riding a children’s balance bike and Nick being 6ft 4, it was a sight to behold and brought lots of laughter to his children and grandchildren. Yet, we won’t mention the time Nick got stuck inside a toy playhouse!
God bless Dad, til we meet again.
