Nicholas John Caulfield
Hello…. Bye…
Sat in the rocking chair with the log burner warming the house Nick waves saying Hello and bye with his eldest daughter Emeli who was happy to follow along. Nick would often be found close to his girls...
Unique in every sense
Nick was a very clever man. Fantastic at maths, very wise and liked to have everything in organised order. Things couldn’t be out of place. There was a time where Nick was having new windows in the house. As the team are installing the windows Nick was following round with a wet cloth making sure all is nice and clean. Now this isn’t in an over the top interfering manner but a laughable typical Nick. Nick loved nothing more than a good milky coffee and biscuits (Nice being the number one choice) Nicks bestfriend Joe would visit and Nick would almost have the biscuits under lock and key! Nick is a very honest man and would always stand up for what he belived in.
Smiling and dancing!
Nick loved dancing. Spinning and kicking legs in the Kitchen normally listening to DAB radio smooth 70’s until it went off air, followed by Smooth radio. When Dionne Warwick - Do you know the way to San Joe would come on Nick would jump into action head popping hand clapping legs going for it. Loved to get his wife and children involved in the dance too.
Nick was known as a gentle giant. Coming in at 6ft 4 Nick worked as a doorman in the last years of his life and would often be told how effective he is in resolving any disputes or challenging situations without force. Just talking. A man well thought of. Nick would have a pack of quavers, trebor mints and a flask when working on the doors and would be upset if he left them at home!
A special Daddy
Nick really did dote on his children. When health visitors would do their usual routine appointments they would often compliment Nick on how wonderful he is as a father. Nick kept this standard throughout anything he did. He was a fantastic Husband to Charlotte and even now Charlotte can often be faced with a situation and will think on what Nick would say and listen to that. Nick has a smile that is infectious and just makes your day so much brighter. Nick is spoken and thought about everyday and there will never be a time where this isn’t the case! He will be remembered for the laughs, the love and the special little girls he’s left us behind.
